Our first ever professional women’s cricketer was Elriesa Theunissen – Fourie. She played for the North – West Dragons team and also played 4 matches for the South Afrika Women’s National side. Sadly, Elriesa passed away on the 5th of April 2019, at the age of 25. Her memory lives on in all the hearts of Gimnasium Cricketers.
In past 6 years we produced 30 provincial players, 1 of them who played for the National side and 3 girls who represented South Africa playing for the women’s u/19 Protea side in the u/19 women’s world cup.

Deidre van Rensburg played for the Protea U/19 Women side in the 2025 Women’s U/19 World Cup, where she and the national side received silver medals for finishing 2nd in the tournament.
